The cape sundew - Drosera capensis
Every year you can buy the cape sundew in most garden centers. Many people buy them, because they hope to catch home flies and gnats. The drosera capensis is one of the easiest carnivorous plant to grow.
The homeland of Drosera capensis is south Africa.
The trap is until 2 1/2 inches long and 1/6 inch width (whole leaf 6 inches long). The sideward tentacles are much longer as the tentacles in the middle - they reach 1/6 inch in length. The whole plant has a diameter of 7-10 inches.
